I'm so excited to share this session with you all! Megan and I have been friends for a few years now. I know her from before my full-time photography years when we were teachers together. Watching her family grow has been one of the most rewarding things I have done as a Houston Family Maternity Photographer. During their first pregnancy, I was lucky enough to be their maternity photographer. Obviously, when she approached me about her second pregnancy, I answered with a resounding, "Yes!!"We decided on an outdoor session, which I loved! They are just so natural in front of the camera, so the setting seemed perfect. Watching little man kiss her belly and try and sneak some "all-organic" snacks throughout the session made me laugh so hard! What a cutie pie!They are excitedly expecting their second boy. Yay! I can only imagine how crazy life will be with two little ones running around. I'm so happy that they took the time to not only celebrate the upcoming arrival of their second son, but to celebrate the time that they have left with their first little man as their only child. Life is all about growth, and this gorgeous family is growing! It's always a blast when I get to work with them.

Houston Family Fun | The Downtown Aquarium

If you've ever made your way down to Houston, you have most likely seen the iconic blue Ferris wheel of the Downtown Aquarium. About the Downtown Aquarium

I love walking through all 8 exhibits they have to offer. My favorite has to be the white tiger exhibit and the newly opened stingray reef. My little ones love exploring through the Louisiana Swamp exhibit. Or spending time in the education room where they can get up close and personal to a wide assortment of animals. I'll never forget their squeals of delight as they reached in and touched a real starfish. Watching their eyes light up in excitement as they learn and explore is such a sweet treat for me to see!Spending afternoons in their adorable company is so incredibly important. I know one day they'll be too cool to want to spend the day with me looking at all the Nemo fishies. So for now, I'll treasure their precious giggles and capture as many memories with them as I can!

Sounds pretty wonderful, right? It is! As a Houston Family Fun photographer, I love planning sessions at this idyllic location. It provides such a wide variety of atmospheres and backgrounds so that I can easily capture an eclectic collection of images in one session.

The best thing about Discovery Green though, is how much my kiddos, and the kiddos that I get the opportunity to photograph here love it. You can see their eye's widen as the excitement flashes across their sweet smiling faces when we pull up. Love love love those happy babies!

Nestled in a 12- acre green space in the heart of Houston, lies this urban paradise. Between the Gateway Fountain splash pad, the John P. McGovern playground, Hagstette Family Putting Green, and multiple concert stages and art exhibits, there's literally something for everyone.

Houston Fine Art Studio Newborn Portrait Photographer | Baby S

This little girls is such an absolute bundle of joy! We loosely snuggled her up in various swaddling blankets, and let her do her thing! Baby S slept so peacefully for the majority of the shoot. But we were lucky enough to catch her giggling for some extra special images. The floral headband complimented her delicate body perfectly. It was just enough without distracting from her precious smile. Time can get away from us so quickly, so I am so happy that I was able to capture this moment forever while she is still so little bitty, as her Houston Fine Art Studio Newborn Portrait Photographer. !It was amazing to watch this family interact with one another, and see the love that overfilled that room created pure magic. You could tell that their world was finally complete when they held her in their arms. It’s so funny how such a little person can completely flip your world upside down. It was obvious how much joy she has brought them already! I hope to get to follow up with this family in the future, and maybe even see little Miss S for her one-year birthday shoot! Houston Family Fun | The Houston Zoo

Some of my favorite childhood memories were summer afternoons spent with my grandparents and cousins. They would take us to parks, putt-putt, the aquarium, and my favorite...the zoo! I remember thinking there was nothing more magical than the zoo. I kid you not! We adored walking through the different exhibits and seeing all the animals in my "Animal Kingdom ABC's" book roar to life!As soon as my kiddos were old enough, I couldn't wait to take them for some Houston Family Fun! I wanted to create the same beautiful memories with them, as my grandparent's had created with me. To see their eyes light up in recognition, imitating a lions roar or and elephants trunk makes my heart burn so bright for them. The mind of a child is such a beautiful thing, isn't it?

About the Houston Zoo

The Houston Zoo houses over 6,000 friends, waiting to make your children's acquaintance. With 11 amazing exhibits currently, there's sure to be something for each little mind to explore! My favorite part is the Children's Zoo. My kiddos absolutely adore it! There's a petting zoo, interactive playground, live educational shows and even a bat cave and bug house for you more adventurous parents out there! We always have a wonderful time, playing the day away, and sneaking off into distant continents, exploring the wonders of their natural inhabitants.A word to the wise, head out to the Zoo while we're still enjoying this gorgeous spring weather! As all of you are more than aware who live here in Houston, the summers can be relentless! If you do brave the heat, don't fear! Expertly placed snow-cone stands and ice-cream stops are happy to meet you as you explore all the fun the Houston Zoo has to offer!

Houston One Year Birthday Photographer | Fabiana

Goodness, how I adore watching these little ones grow! Fabiana was a newborn client of mine from last year. So needless to say, I was super excited when her family contacted me to take her one year portraits! I know it's cheesy, but I almost cried when I saw how big she's gotten! As a mama myself, I know how quickly that first year flies by. But for some reason, it still catches me off guard. Growth truly is one of the best things about this profession. It so wonderful seeing how much my clients have grown over that first year of life as their Houston One Year Birthday Photographer.I remember back to when she was just a tiny sleepy little thing. She was so good for her newborn session and continued that trend throughout this milestone session. Fabiana was full of spunk and smiles, constantly leaving me in a fit of giggles. Originally we planned to take these photos outdoors, but the Texas weather was uncooperative so we moved her session into my Pearland studio...and it worked out perfectly! I adore using this precious teepee for sessions just like this. Houston Natural Light Newborn Studio Photographer | Bradley

Oh wow! How adorable is this little guy?! I am so incredibly blessed as a Houston Natural Light Newborn Studio Photographer to be able to do what I do and get to document such a special time in families’ lives. To be able to capture the beginning of one’s life is truly a joy, and Bradley’s session was nothing short of amazing. I enjoyed my session with him so much; he was such a great little sleeper and so easy to pose! Oh! And those adorable little pajamas! He had to be one of the most cuddly, calm newborns that I’ve had the pleasure of capturing. Just look at that sweet, little face and dark brown hair. With Bradley being the youngest of three boys, I’m sure his brothers are so ecstatic to have another brother to play with! Once they’re teenagers, this is going to be a family of little heartbreakers.

 These five photos are Bradley’s parents’ favorites from his custom newborn portrait session I did for them last year, and I can definitely see why! With the soothing blues and soft textures of these photos, they capture the calmness, beauty, and the miracle of Bradley’s first days on Earth. I hope they will be photos that the family can look back on and cherish forever. It was such a pleasure to work with Bradley and his parents, and I can’t wait for their next session!

Houston Child Portrait Photographer | Ivy Turns Two!

Big birthday wishes to Miss Ivy who just turned 2 years old! I have had the pleasure of working with this family for three years now, and it’s always one of the biggest highlights of my year. They are the most adorable family, and are always so stylish. I always look forward to being able to see all of the fun outfits that they come up with for their photo shoot. The love that this family has for one another creates such a sense of pure magic throughout every single session that we share together, and this one is no exception! What a treat for this Houston Child Portrait Photographer!Little Ivy had so much fun with all of the props, which made me even more excited to see the results!  One of my favorite shots was with the giant swan, we were really able to capture her sweet and sassy personality, but it was pretty obvious that Ivy’s favorite part was being able to have that lollipop all to herself!We took these photos at Sugar and Cloth color wall, which is sadly no longer in existence. I am so thankful that I got to shoot some breathtaking photos there before they tore it down. As you can see, it was a great place to capture some vibrant photos. This was the perfect backdrop for a toddler’s birthday session!

Isn't motherhood so sweet? Your children are the brightest stars in your sky. The only thing that matters. And it all starts with that incredible moment of realization...you have a little angel on the way! I remember when I found out that I was pregnant with my sweet little Penelope, and the excitement that followed. One of the most fun parts for me was getting to share this precious moment with my son, Jensen. I absolutely could not wait for him to meet his little sister! Needless to say, I was thrilled to be a part of this exciting time in Cheryl's life as her Houston Fine Art Maternity Portrait Photographer.

About this session

I had the opportunity to work with this mama and her sweet family for a maternity session a while back and I could not be happier with how it turned out! We did this shoot in my private field south of Houston. The love that flowed so easily between them was so beautiful and such an honor to capture! Seeing this little boy curled up and smiling next to his mama's belly was such a heart warming thing for me to watch through my lens.Mama wanted in incorporate a neutral look for her last outfit change. So we used a simple piece of fabric to giver her an organic look for her last belly portraits, and the result was stunning. With beautiful wild flowers all in bloom, a gorgeous golden sunset, and an even more stunning family, the shoot could not have gone any better!

Pearland Newborn Natural Light Studio Photographer | Eli Green

Be still my heart! This sweet boy is the second welcomed addition to his gorgeous family. With little ones of this age, it's rare to see the definite color of their eyes right away. But I think this little guy is going to be a blue-eyed boy for sure! It might have been the various tones and shades of deep teal we used throughout the session that brought out the color so vividly. We stuck with varied neutrals while adding in pops of color here and there create an eclectic feel of the session. As a Pearland Newborn Natural Light Studio Photographer  it makes my heart so happy to see these images look so stunning side-by-side in their handcrafted heirloom album.Big brother was an absolute ham throughout this entire session. Which I LOVED! He kept me laughing from the first hesitantly shy hello, to the last high-five goodbye. My abs haven't hurt so bad in a long time! As with a lot of kiddos his age, he was a little unsure at first of being photographed. But as little ones typically do, he warmed up after a while. We were able to capture a super cute moment between the two of them, which made both me and his parents super happy.I loved capturing these first sweet images of little Eli for his adorable family. Outdoor Houston Tx Maternity Photographer - Shannon

You can’t tell, but literally less than one hour before we were able to get these shots, it was pouring cats and dogs! I was super nervous that we were going to have to reschedule the session, but Shannon (this gorgeous mommy-to-be) had already had her hair and makeup done so we decided to wait it out. Thank goodness we did, because these pictures really did turn out amazing! Houston is notorious for flooding, thanks to a less than ideal drainage system, so we had to change locations from my usual go to spot to this empty golf-course unless we wanted to get some underwater shots. I love being pushed out of my comfort zone...that’s when the magic happens! I might actually try and use this spot more often since these pictures came out so well.  I have a newborn photography studio in Pearland, but often I get to be one (of many) Outdoor Houston Tx Maternity Photographer.  For this session, that's exactly what we did!This session was full of happy little bits of serendipity. Because we had to wait a bit to start the session, it ended slightly later than initially anticipated. What a wonderful thing to have happened! Just look at that sunset we were able to capture! How perfect is that soft golden light kissing her darling baby bump?!As a photographer, one of the best tools I can have in my arsenal is flexibility. Without it, I would missed out on the opportunity to get what I think are some truly stunning shots of this breathtaking mama-to-be and her sweet husband. Yay for silver linings!

Houston Newborn Baby Photography Studio - Claire

I remember bringing home my first little one from the hospital. I would sit, and stare at him quietly sleeping, wishing I could crawl into whatever dreamland he was in, just to steal more time with him. I remember being so aware of the magnitude of responsibility I felt when staring in lost wonder, at this incredibly delicate tiny human; but also what intense, overwhelming love I immediately felt for every precious ounce of his darling little body.  Having a Houston Newborn Baby Photography Studio helps me to freeze moments in time like these.  It's seriously one of the best jobs in the whole world.What an exciting time in this new family’s life!  Little Claire here is the first baby for her darling family. They signed up for my baby plan package, which means I have the honor of getting to see her again in a few short months! This is definitely one of my favorite packages we offer because it gives me the opportunity to see and document one of the most exciting times in a family’s life! So much changes that happens in that first year and I love being a part of the beautiful process.I love playing with varying textures, especially with newborn sessions. The stark contrast of their fresh, delicate skin against the multiple accessories and outfits create such a dreamy depth to these images. Mom loves all things floral and vintage so we made sure incorporate both into this newborn in-studio session. She brought with her the antique birth scale (love unique props like this one), some absolutely darling floral knit bottoms and an assortment of to-die-for hand-bands. What a fun session! Can’t wait to see what the next year holds for Claire and her sweet parents!

Pearland Senior Photographer | Savannah

Savannah here was a senior at Pearland Highschool last year. This session was particularly memorable because of the way her and her mom worked together to style this session perfectly. She had her hair and makeup expertly styled at Sunkissed and Made-up. We did three full outfit changes altogether, not including her cap and gown. The various colors and textures really did add such a depth to Savannah's senior portraits. With a model this beautiful, what fun it was to be her Pearland Senior Photographer!When it comes to senior portraits, I like to have variety in the backgrounds we work with. Savannah looked stunning in front of what ever setting I placed her in, so we tried them all! What troopers her and her mom were! I particularly love the distressed brick wall we found. The stark contrast between the weathered surroundings and Savannah's bright beauty worked so well together. When we got to the flower-filled field, Savannah looked absolutely stunning amidst the bouncing natural light. We both knew we wanted to get a super adorable glitter shot, and this was the perfect place to capture it!I love getting to be a part of a time that is so incredibly important to not only these seniors, but to their parents. Not only are the kids about to embark on what is going to be one of the most fun and exciting periods of their lives, but their parents are about to start a new chapter as well. While this is a bound to be time of excited celebration for everyone involved, it is undoubtedly an emotional time as well, especially for two this close as Savannah and her mom. Just look at those big baby blue eyes! How could you not fall instantly in love with such a cute little guy?! I know I sure did when I saw first saw him for his newborn session! Gus is on our baby planner package which means I'l be lucky enough to steal a few more shots of that gorgeous smile in just a few short months for his first birthday session!  Clients like this make Houston Fine Art Baby Photography so much fun!I love the way we styled this session and were able to incorporate big brother. You can already tell these two are going to have a great lifelong friendship just by watching them interact. The way Gus' tongue flopped out when he giggled, or how he would grab his toes when he laughs just made my heart melt! I'm so glad we were able to steal some shots of these sweet little quirks! I cant wait to see what changes I see in him when I see him for his next session. It blows my mind how much these little ones learn at this age! Like adorable little sponges, soaking up every new experience. They really do grow up so fast. I think that' s why I treasure my job. Photography is one way to freeze time, and dwell on what a beautiful age this is.Incorporating different textures and color combinations throughout the entirety of the session really brought about a depth to these images that I truly love. What an amazing start to 2017 it has already been! I'v already been so lucky to have been blessed with such amazing clients, and it's only March! The simple fact that I get the chance to meet and build lasting friendships with so many people because of this amazing profession of mine makes my heart so incredibly happy. The experiences and memories I have made through this path have forever left a sweet mark on my heart. As a Houston Natural Light Baby Photographer, I know how incredibly blessed I am and just want to take a moment and say, thank you. Thank you to all my clients that make this dream of mine a reality. Thank you to my family for the constant support and endless shower of love. Houston Natural Light First Year Photographer - Sweet Little Daisy

 Oh my gracious guys…. This girl. How in the world could I possibly begin to express how incredibly adorable this little princess is?! As a Houston Natural Light First Year Photographer this session made me absolutely swoon! I love when sessions turn out as truly stunning as this one did. We were able to get so many adorable candid shots of Daisy at such a fun age. So many fun moments from the session, and such cooperative lighting that day! Between the ruffled tutu, vintage jumper or big-brother cuddles, there’s no way I could possibly pick my favorite! We approached this session as more of a lifestyle session and just let her do her sweet little thing. I wanted to start the session with her big brother so that she could get acclimated to her new environment and have the confidence to strut her sassy little stuff. Let me tell you, Miss Daisy did not disappoint! When it comes to this age, as a Houston Natural Light First Year Photographer, I have found that I really like to try and let them run the show. If she wanted to jump up and down, we jumped! When she wanted to cuddle, by George we cuddled! Houston Studio Baby Photographer - Luke

Oh my goodness, be still my heart!! This has got to be one of the best set of locks I’ve ever seen on a little one! The only thing more adorable than this sweet family was Luke’s hair. I am so excited that I was able to document such a special time in this family’s story.  And being a Houston Studio Baby Photographer, I can do just that!

Mr. Luke decided he couldn’t wait to make his earthly debut, so he got to spend some extra time in the NICU to make sure he was the healthiest, happiest baby boy possible! It’s obviously true what they say that the best things in life are worth waiting for! Anxiously waiting for my niece to grace us with her presence was the longest 3 hours of my life! (Which she finally did, hands balled into tiny little fists, ready to take on the world!) I can only imagine the anticipation and excitement Luke’s mommy and daddy felt as they waited to get their hands on their precious angel.

About this Houston Baby Photography Session

We planned for both outdoor and studio shots for the little guy. First we started with some individual shots of Luke. He was dressed in a set of knit overalls from Darling Baby, using Folkati rugs, some of my absolute favorites for newborn shots! To finish up the session, we went to an adorable little local park to highlight the fun this family so obviously enjoys together.

It was an absolute pleasure to get to know this beautiful family. Luke, I can’t wait to see what the future has in store for you and your darling parents.

Houston Newborn Baby Photographer - Fin

I think being a Houston Newborn Baby Photographer is the best job anyone could have.  I loved meeting this little guy and his name really stuck out to me.  A name is more than a mere title, a name is the source of your identity. Simply put, there’s a reason teachers ask each student their preferred pronunciation of their name. Well, with a name like Fin, it’s obvious an awesome little man is in the making!

Fin was one of the easiest babes to work with, he was such a laid back, handsome little model baby! Let me tell you, he was an absolute dream to pose! My hands-down favorite position was of his little arm nestled behind his sweet head, laid back, pondering the complexities of baby-hood. Overalls were perfect for this big boy who weighed in at birth at a whopping 8+ pounds! We decided to work with muted tones of blue, grey and green giving this shoot an earthy, rustic feel.

It was a joy and pleasure to get to meet with, plan and work with Fin’s parents! I adored getting to know both of them- it’s always a wonderful experience when your relationship with your clients can bud into a new friendship. This bundle of joy is mom and dad’s first child, so of course I wanted to make sure this shoot perfectly captured this exciting time in their family’s new journey! I’m sure there will be countless beautiful memories and moments enjoyed by this adorable family and their handsome little man.

Houston Baby Photography Session - Mila

Golden tutus...lace teepees...floral headbands...cream, lace rompers and beautiful baby girls….these are a few of my favorite things! Oh wait, that's not how the song goes?... Whoops!!  I am absolutely obsessed with styling these Houston Baby Photography Session, so this was so fun to me!

This shoot with Ms. Mila was the perfect example of how one of the more challenging parts of our jobs as photographers can easily become one our favorites. I am constantly looking to build the diversity of props and textures used in my sessions. When I came across this lace teepee, I instantly knew it would be perfect for sessions with beautiful little princesses like Mila.

About this Houston Baby Photography Session

As with any child, it took some time for little Mila to warm up to a new environment. But let me tell you! The wait was more than worth it! After getting a little more relaxed with me and her new setting, we were able to get a ton of silly smiles, goofy giggles and happy grins. I absolutely adored the cream lace romper and floral headpiece Mila’s mom had her styled in! Not to mention the darling pink and gold tutu we were able to use. Mila was nothing short of breathtaking with her bouncing brown curls and huge, chocolate puppy dog eyes.

The diverse combination of colors, textures, props and outfits truly made this shoot magical. We were able to capture such a fun time in Mila’s journey. It was an absolute joy to provide her parent’s with a little keepsake of this beautiful but fleeting time in all three of their lives.

Houstons Best Baby Photographer - Greyson

Sitter milestone sessions are so much fun for me.  The sweet babies are just finding their tiny little personalities.  I love the challenge, too, of getting those big 'ol snaggle tooth grins.  Greyson was no exception and I just loved spending time with him and his sweet family.  Being Houstons Best Baby Photographer, I just can't even get over how lucky I am. 

About this Baby Photography Session

Little tiny fingers, little tiny toes, dreamy eyelashes, and a sweet smile.  This age is the sweetest age.  These babies are such little snugglers, they are finding their own personalities, and they just love attention.  Sweet Greyson, if you want attention?  I'll give it to you!  I think it's also ultra exciting to imagine this baby boy as a big brother to his baby sister.  Her protector for life and one of her best friends.I loved that we were able to incorporate mama's sweet gender reveal, another huge milestone during this sitter session.  These moments sometimes make my heart skip a beat and just genuinely appreciate my life, and be happy for these amazing clients of mine.  Be sure to scroll below for highlights from this session and be sure to get in touch if you'd like to book your very own baby planner session!
