Kollins Six Month & Family Session

Oh, my goodness, y’all – cuteness overload! I love this family so much, and I’m enjoying watching their two sweet kiddos grow. Baby Kollins came back to see me for her six-month milestone session, and Mom decided she wanted a family session outdoors this time. Kollins’ six-month birthday happened to land right around fall time in Texas, so we had some lovely cool weather with a gorgeous fall sunset the night of their session.

Although it comes in a very small window, fall is always one of my favorite times to do outdoor portraits in Texas! You can definitely see how much personality baby Kollins has in these images. She loves the outdoors, and she was full of smiles, which made it such a fun session! (I think it might have had something to do with her playful brother being by her side.)

She borrowed a few wardrobe options from my studio collection as well as the adorable floral crown. Baby girls and flowers are always a perfect combination in my opinion! She has the most gorgeous blue eyes I’ve ever seen, so the light blue, coral, green, and pink colors really made them stand out even more. What a beauty!

We made sure to capture both family images as well as several individual photos of Kollins during this session. I always encourage families to participate in their baby's milestone sessions as it helps baby adjust to the situation AND creates gorgeous family memories for them to cherish and look back upon. These sibling portraits are priceless! I know their parents adore them, but I guarantee they’ll be equally treasured by Kollins and her brother when they grow up. Their bond is something special, and what an honor it was to capture these moments for them.

Happy half birthday, baby Kollins! I can’t wait to see this crew back in a few months.

League City Baby Photographer

And here she is! Ellis is six months old – and so full of personality! If you missed it, check the previous post for her adorable 4thof July themed newborn and family session! This gorgeous girl has grown so much since I last saw her. She transformed from a sleepy little snuggle bug into a bright-eyed wiggle worm! The six-month milestone is one of my favorites because they’re so interactive and curious, wanting to explore anything they can get their hands on. The toothy grins are my absolute favorite!

For baby Ellis’ milestone sessions, Mom requested that I come to their gorgeous home in League City and photograph their family in their "natural environment.” Lifestyle sessions are some of my favorites because I can really capture the full personalities of each member and the sweet candid moments of everyday life together. We really did it up, and I had so much fun being a fly on the wall as they did their thing, which meant lots of smiles and tickles on Mom and Dad's bed, an extra bubbly bath with popsicles, strawberries for snack time, and some naked baby fun in Ellis' nursery! Not to mention that her outfits were cute as can be! Look at Ellis’ beautiful velvet headband and floral PJs along with her older brother’s cute striped jammies!

No matter what fun activity was next (or what mess was being cleaned up), there was SO MUCH LOVE in this house. I truly feel like this session was pure magic, and I hope other families will want to do in-home lifestyle baby sessions more often! The love and priceless moments together far outshine any imperfections you might see when you look at the house. (I get it, I’m a mom, too. But trust me on this!)

Houston Fine Art Baby Photography | Gus

Just look at those big baby blue eyes! How could you not fall instantly in love with such a cute little guy?! I know I sure did when I saw first saw him for his newborn session! Gus is on our baby planner package which means I'l be lucky enough to steal a few more shots of that gorgeous smile in just a few short months for his first birthday session!  Clients like this make Houston Fine Art Baby Photography so much fun!I love the way we styled this session and were able to incorporate big brother. You can already tell these two are going to have a great lifelong friendship just by watching them interact. The way Gus' tongue flopped out when he giggled, or how he would grab his toes when he laughs just made my heart melt! I'm so glad we were able to steal some shots of these sweet little quirks! I cant wait to see what changes I see in him when I see him for his next session. It blows my mind how much these little ones learn at this age! Like adorable little sponges, soaking up every new experience. They really do grow up so fast. I think that' s why I treasure my job. Photography is one way to freeze time, and dwell on what a beautiful age this is.Incorporating different textures and color combinations throughout the entirety of the session really brought about a depth to these images that I truly love. While each image contains it's own unique properties, they all flow so well with each other. This allows for the development of a truly stunning gallery wall!I had so much fun working with this handsome guy, and can't wait to see him very soon! <3  Check out more sweetness like this on our blog!

Houston Natural Light Baby Photographer - Piper

What an amazing start to 2017 it has already been! I'v already been so lucky to have been blessed with such amazing clients, and it's only March! The simple fact that I get the chance to meet and build lasting friendships with so many people because of this amazing profession of mine makes my heart so incredibly happy. The experiences and memories I have made through this path have forever left a sweet mark on my heart. As a Houston Natural Light Baby Photographer, I know how incredibly blessed I am and just want to take a moment and say, thank you. Thank you to all my clients that make this dream of mine a reality. Thank you to my family for the constant support and endless shower of love. From the bottom of my heart, I truly treasure each and every one of you.It's little ones like Piper and Luke, that makes this Houston Natural Light Baby Photographer's heart squirm with delight at the thought of capturing their adorable beauty! Piper is one of my baby planners from 2016, so I have had the immense pleasure of watching her grow into the happy little 6-month old baby she is. So incredibly sweet, a perfect reflection of her kind and gentle parents. I wanted to approach this session as a 6-month milestone/family session to really capture the love and beauty that is this family. Oh man, have I expressed my joy for sitter sessions?  If not, I want to go ahead and take the time to express it now: I LOVE SITTER SESSIONS! :)  Having this little one's parents hire me to be their Baby Boy Houston Photographer, I was just so thrilled to be a part of their story.  I also loved how baby sister hung out behind the camera to get those genuine smiles that I just love.  I love when siblings come to help because it gives them a chance to feel like they are a part of this big picture while being the "grown up one."We stuck to Cora & Violet's adorable hoodie rompers, warm wood tones, and my white wood backdrop.  I loved this session because since Maddox is a baby planner client, I had the pleasure of photographing his mom’s maternity session, and his newborn session.  So watching him grow is a true joy for this year.  They came back to visit me at the studio for his sitting milestone session and we had so much fun dressing him in my studio wardrobe clothing and getting him to smile!  I also incorporated one of the props from his newborn session to show how much he had grown.  We also used a wood bowl, my log bed that I adore, a favorite blue bear stuffed animal from his very own nursery, and of course, one of Luneberry's sky blue flokatis.Here are the highlights from this adorable session!

Baby Boy Houston Photographer

Happy hump day! I decided to throw in a recent 2016 sessions to mix it up a little…although I still have tons of 2015 sessions to catch up on!  So here's this Beautiful Houston Baby Photography session!Being a Beautiful Houston Baby Photography specialist has some of the best job perks…one of them is that I get to watch tiny little newborns grow into the cutest babies! Meet Greyson. He came to visit me in my Houston-area studio for his sitting milestone session just a few weeks ago. We chose to do this session in the studio because it’s the perfect age to capture their rolls and baby details and we didn’t have to worry about the outdoor elements in this crazy Texas weather.This blue eyed baby boy was full of smiles and he also happens to have the sweetest parents! Greyson’s mom is a good friend from several years ago…during our just graduated college kid-free days. Our lives sure have changed since then! We are now both mothers and couldn’t be happier.You might have seen this family’s maternity session on the blog a few weeks ago. They are so photogenic and easy to work with and I just love photographing them. Well, I also had the pleasure of photographing Greyson’s newborn and tummy time sessions (which will both be blogged soon, I promise). As you can see, I’ve spent a lot of time with this family this past year. I usually get sad when we get to the end of their Baby Collections because it means I won’t get to see them as often. BUT I am excited to say they will be welcoming a new baby GIRL in a few months too! Which means I will be seeing them a ton in 2016 too! ☺ We incorporated a pregnancy and gender announcement during their studio session and I loved how it turned out! Beautiful Houston Baby Photography

It's hard to believe our baby girl just celebrated her first birthday last week! She has changed so much from her NICU days as a preemie baby, its almost unbelievable. I never have sat down and blogged her birth story from start to finish and I still intend to do that before my mommy brain forgets everything. Let's just say that God was definitely watching over her little life. If things had not gone the way they did that evening on September 2, 2014, we very likely would not be celebrating her first birthday or any birthday for that matter. The first 48 hours after her birth, the doctor's were saying horrible awful things like "we are walking a fine line at this point" and "there is nothing more we can do but wait". Those first few days were truly some of the worst and most stressful days of our lives. But now we rejoice! Our miracle baby is perfectly healthy, happy, on track and we are so THANKFUL and BLESSED to be her parents. She's a ball of spunk, fun, and a seriously determined individual...but wouldn't expect anything less from her given she’s been a feisty-fighter from day one!  I also am extremely lucky to be a miracle Houston baby photographer because this whole year I documented her growth and these pictures are true treasures to me and my family!I did this blog post for myself, mainly so I could compile her first year photos in one place. But I also wanted to share with other preemie moms that there is so much HOPE for these sweet babies (and that you should also try and hire or be a miracle Houston baby photographer- if just for this one event).  Some of these photos were taken with a cell phone so excuse the low quality.  I was actually without my camera the first two weeks while she was in the NICU because I had my hubby send it to Canon to be cleaned while I was on bed rest...and the very day he mailed it off, she was born.  Go figure!Happy birthday to our dear Penelope!!

miracle Houston baby photographer

The 6 month age definitely has to be one of my favorite baby stages...this is when babies are usually starting to sit on their own and LOVE to smile and their mommy & daddy. I got to photograph this sweet girl right around her 6 month birthday and she was a such a doll! Her parents also happen to be good friends of mine from college so we got to catch up while they visited my studio. Mom brought the vintage pink dress and white whicker bassinet to incorporate into her session and they were both perfect additions! Kennedy had mastered sitting up and was full of smiles and sweet faces. :) She was a joy to photograph and I can't wait to share her next milestone session with you!

This post is long overdue, but it was one of my favorite sessions from 2014 so it deserved its own blog post. I had the pleasure of photographing this family in their home last year to document their sweet Georgia's 6 month birthday. Mom set up a beautiful nursery perfect for their sweet girl and I had so much fun photographing their family in this lifestyle baby milestone session. I love it when parents have their own visions for a session because it gets my creative juices working and forces me to think outside the proverbial "box". And when you get to photograph gorgeous people, it makes for some gorgeous photos. I hope you enjoy this little sneak peek into this sweet family's life and their pure love for their baby girl.
