Houston Newborn Studio Photographer | Rosemary June

Rosemary June was a doll for her newborn session.  She is baby number four for this beautiful family.  I had the pleasure of capturing baby number three a couple years ago and was thrilled to have them back in the studio with their latest little blessing.  She was such an angel throughout the whole process.  She was a willing participant in the set and wardrobe changes necessary to capture the different images of the session. A photographer's dream!

Capturing Sweet Memories

Mom, Holly, has become a great friend of mine over the last couple years of photographing their family. I was excited to bring her vision to life.  Sleeping newborn images are to be expected and they are such sweet moments to have as forever images. But my favorite thing is when a sweet little brand new baby gives us a some of their precious awake time during their session.  Rosemary surprised us with a little awake time.  It is funny to see their little personalities emerge early on.

A Feminine Approach

Holly and I had a great time dressing Rosemary up and choosing the different elements and set pieces for Rosemary’s session.  We incorporated creams and blushes throughout and some fun florals, and of course we always had an adorable hat or headband for the little sweet pea.  I loved her pouty top lip and darling cheeks.  It is such a blessing to love what you do and I am so happy that I love working as a Newborn Photographer, capturing beautiful keepsakes for families and making fantastic friends in the process.

Pearland First Birthday Milestone Photographer | Joseph

Look at this little guy! Mom and dad can’t believe that Joseph is already one year old, and I couldn’t think of a more memorable way to celebrate than with a fun photo session with me! I took this cutie pie to one of my favorite parks, and we had a blast! I brought all of my favorite props with me, including blankets, a wooden crate, and big blue balloons to add to the festivities!

Stealing Hearts with His Big Brown Eyes

The camera loves Joseph, and he was just captivating everyone with this big eyes and smile of his. I couldn’t get enough of his joy and happiness playing with his parents. Can we just talk about his outfit for a second? How precious! I fell in love with the red pants and striped hoodie, and it really stood out in the images.

When we finally pulled out all of the balloons, Joseph was so fascinated. I know he was loving all of the attention during his session, and we loved giving it to him. It is always a pleasure to create real memories for these special families, and I hope to see them again in the future for updates as he grows up!

What an absolute heartthrob! It was such a joy being Joseph's Pearland First Birthday Milestone Photographer and capturing these sweet milestone memories.

Houston Newborn Photographer | Everett

This family is simply stunning and I loved working with them as his Houston Newborn Photographer.  Baby Everett was such a good sport throughout the whole session.  He was such a relaxed baby, so posing him was a dream. After a house full of girls, it was a fun day when a little boy entered the family.  Everett is absolutely precious and adored by the entire family.  His big sisters are smitten with him.  You can tell by the family portrait of everyone together that this little man has brought a lot of love out of everyone and mom and dad could not be more thrilled to add a new member to the crew.

About this session

Mom decorated his room in a nautical theme and brought along his personalized buoy for his session as a prop.  These are a few of my favorite images from last year.  I love that it has his name and birthdate on it, and he looks so cute relaxing in the center.  His chubby cheeks make me smile. He looks like he floats around in his buoy every day.  He is so relaxed and comfortable. It is always an exciting session when I am able to capture a newborn with their eyes open, and Everett brought some excitement to my day during his session.  The image of him with the adorable teddy bear hat and his eyes wide open is priceless.  His expression is too cute.

Houston Newborn Photographer | Elizabeth

I cannot stop looking at these gorgeous newborn portraits we captured of baby Elizabeth!  What a sweet little princess she is!  I was so excited to see this couple again!  They had selected to have their baby plan with me, so I photographed their maternity session a few months ago. I now have absolute pleasure of finally meeting this precious little new addition to their family. There is so much love between this couple. I know they will shower Elizabeth with all the attention and snuggles they can!  I mean, she’s gorgeous! Wouldn’t you?!?

About this session

This baby girl was just so beautiful, and I had so much fun planning out a custom newborn session with many feminine and floral touches.  The session took place in my Pearland and we selected some of my sweetest headbands and bonnets for Elizabeth as she slept so comfortably snuggled.  One of my favorites is Elizabeth atop the shabby chic antiqued box surrounded by pink roses and soft blush peonies.I cannot wait to see Elizabeth and her parents again for her one year session. Knowing how quickly that time will fly by, and I can’t believe this little girl will be standing by then!  I love watching these babies grow up in front of my camera!  And I hope to provide this family with many priceless images for their heirloom albums and gallery wall reflecting the milestone moments of this little one’s life as she grows.

Houston Newborn Photographer | Freya

This little lady is Freya—such a lovely name for a lovely, tiny bundle of a girl. Freya is her parents’ first baby, so I wanted her newborn session to be extra special and memorable for them. We pulled out all of the most feminine, delicate stops for Freya. She’s learning early that a girl can never try on too many headbands. Her own tiny style was all soft, girly, and floral; and we oohed and aahed over her as we swaddled her up and held her close.

About this session

Can you even deal with that little grin as she snuggles up to her momma? And the images of Freya and her daddy are almost too much to handle. They are just in love with her, and rightfully so. The images we captured in this session display the role Freya’s fallen right into in her family—she’s the gorgeous center of their world right now and she’s perfectly content in that place.I’m so looking forward to seeing her grow into her sweet personality and continue to explore her full range of expressions. Houston Fine Art Newborn Photography | Landon

Hello all! If you know me at all, you would know that I love love love babies! Not only do I adore my own children, but working with other little ones never fails to fill my heart with joy. I have been so excited to share this session with you guys. This little client was the sweetest little New Orleans Saints fan on the planet! Landon was just a few days old at the time of this session. And was as cute as can be in every single image!

The Newest Saint's Fan

Landon's family are all obviously huge Saints fans. So his mama brought some great ideas along to incorporate their favorite team into the photos. She had a New Orleans Saints themed prop photo with an adorable hat to match, and a gold belly cast that Landon snuggled inside so sweetly. I loved being able to help her vision of this session come to life, and document these wonderful moments that will forever be cherished.When it comes to newborn photography, the additional of textural elements truly add a beautiful depth to the collections. My favorite from this session were the images of Landon, curled up in a mustard yellow swaddling blanket, accented with pops of deep teal and natural elements. Swoon! How gorgeous is this little guy?!Landon was so precious, and slept nearly the entire time. From the New Orleans Saints themed photos, to the simple traditional swaddling photos, I am so thrilled with the outcome! Welcome to the world, little Landon, and Go Saints!

The Heights Newborn Fine Art Photographer | Addison

About this Newborn Session

So these super cool parents love Star Wars, and definitely wanted some adorable plush toys to be incorporated in a few of the photos. I'm always excited to incorporate sweet props like these into sessions, especially newborns. It personalizes the collection and always brings the parents such happiness. We decided to dress Addison as Leia, and surround her with some friends to keep her company. This little one was so sweet, and slept nearly the entire time. Mom and dad were so helpful and amazing throughout the session as well. It was obvious that their little girl is the R2-D2 to their C3PO.Everything about this session was so much fun, and I love love love how it turned out. Nothing makes me happier than being able to be creative in so many different ways. This family was so amazing and I am so glad I was able to make their vision of Addison's newborn session come to life.

Be still my heart! This sweet boy was so alert throughout his whole session. With most little ones of his age, they are super sleepy, but not Forrest! Although he was awake, he was such a little trooper for his newborn session. It truly was such a treat to be his Houston Newborn Studio Photographer!Just take a peek at those eyes and that hair line! Oh my word have you ever seen a more adorable widow's peek?! When talking to his mama while planning this session, we knew we wanted to utilize plenty of masculine neutrals and she mentioned adding in some various textural pieces! Mama's really do know best, because this session was a delicious slice of textural heaven! I LOVE the way the roughness of the burlap and the chunky knit cable blankets contrasted so well with Forrest's delicate features. Swoon!!All in all...Take one part sweet baby boy, add in two loving doses of adoring parents and sprinkle in a tiny Teddy. You have all the makings for a perfect newborn session! Houston Fine Art Studio Newborn Portrait Photographer | Baby S

This little girls is such an absolute bundle of joy! We loosely snuggled her up in various swaddling blankets, and let her do her thing! Baby S slept so peacefully for the majority of the shoot. But we were lucky enough to catch her giggling for some extra special images. The floral headband complimented her delicate body perfectly. It was just enough without distracting from her precious smile. Time can get away from us so quickly, so I am so happy that I was able to capture this moment forever while she is still so little bitty, as her Houston Fine Art Studio Newborn Portrait Photographer. !It was amazing to watch this family interact with one another, and see the love that overfilled that room created pure magic. You could tell that their world was finally complete when they held her in their arms. It’s so funny how such a little person can completely flip your world upside down. It was obvious how much joy she has brought them already! I hope to get to follow up with this family in the future, and maybe even see little Miss S for her one-year birthday shoot! Houston One Year Birthday Photographer | Fabiana

Goodness, how I adore watching these little ones grow! Fabiana was a newborn client of mine from last year. So needless to say, I was super excited when her family contacted me to take her one year portraits! I know it's cheesy, but I almost cried when I saw how big she's gotten! As a mama myself, I know how quickly that first year flies by. But for some reason, it still catches me off guard. Growth truly is one of the best things about this profession. It so wonderful seeing how much my clients have grown over that first year of life as their Houston One Year Birthday Photographer.I remember back to when she was just a tiny sleepy little thing. She was so good for her newborn session and continued that trend throughout this milestone session. Fabiana was full of spunk and smiles, constantly leaving me in a fit of giggles. Originally we planned to take these photos outdoors, but the Texas weather was uncooperative so we moved her session into my Pearland studio...and it worked out perfectly! I adore using this precious teepee for sessions just like this. Houston Natural Light Newborn Studio Photographer | Bradley

Oh wow! How adorable is this little guy?! I am so incredibly blessed as a Houston Natural Light Newborn Studio Photographer to be able to do what I do and get to document such a special time in families’ lives. To be able to capture the beginning of one’s life is truly a joy, and Bradley’s session was nothing short of amazing. I enjoyed my session with him so much; he was such a great little sleeper and so easy to pose! Oh! And those adorable little pajamas! He had to be one of the most cuddly, calm newborns that I’ve had the pleasure of capturing. Just look at that sweet, little face and dark brown hair. With Bradley being the youngest of three boys, I’m sure his brothers are so ecstatic to have another brother to play with! Once they’re teenagers, this is going to be a family of little heartbreakers.

 These five photos are Bradley’s parents’ favorites from his custom newborn portrait session I did for them last year, and I can definitely see why! With the soothing blues and soft textures of these photos, they capture the calmness, beauty, and the miracle of Bradley’s first days on Earth. Isn't motherhood so sweet? Your children are the brightest stars in your sky. The only thing that matters. And it all starts with that incredible moment of realization...you have a little angel on the way! I remember when I found out that I was pregnant with my sweet little Penelope, and the excitement that followed. One of the most fun parts for me was getting to share this precious moment with my son, Jensen. I absolutely could not wait for him to meet his little sister! About this session

I had the opportunity to work with this mama and her sweet family for a maternity session a while back and I could not be happier with how it turned out! We did this shoot in my private field south of Houston. The love that flowed so easily between them was so beautiful and such an honor to capture! Seeing this little boy curled up and smiling next to his mama's belly was such a heart warming thing for me to watch through my lens.Mama wanted in incorporate a neutral look for her last outfit change. So we used a simple piece of fabric to giver her an organic look for her last belly portraits, and the result was stunning. With beautiful wild flowers all in bloom, a gorgeous golden sunset, and an even more stunning family, the shoot could not have gone any better!

Pearland Newborn Natural Light Studio Photographer | Eli Green

Be still my heart! This sweet boy is the second welcomed addition to his gorgeous family. With little ones of this age, it's rare to see the definite color of their eyes right away. But I think this little guy is going to be a blue-eyed boy for sure! It might have been the various tones and shades of deep teal we used throughout the session that brought out the color so vividly. We stuck with varied neutrals while adding in pops of color here and there create an eclectic feel of the session. As a Pearland Newborn Natural Light Studio Photographer  it makes my heart so happy to see these images look so stunning side-by-side in their handcrafted heirloom album.Big brother was an absolute ham throughout this entire session. Which I LOVED! He kept me laughing from the first hesitantly shy hello, to the last high-five goodbye. My abs haven't hurt so bad in a long time! As with a lot of kiddos his age, he was a little unsure at first of being photographed. But as little ones typically do, he warmed up after a while. We were able to capture a super cute moment between the two of them, which made both me and his parents super happy.I loved capturing these first sweet images of little Eli for his adorable family. Outdoor Houston Tx Maternity Photographer - Shannon

You can’t tell, but literally less than one hour before we were able to get these shots, it was pouring cats and dogs! I was super nervous that we were going to have to reschedule the session, but Shannon (this gorgeous mommy-to-be) had already had her hair and makeup done so we decided to wait it out. Thank goodness we did, because these pictures really did turn out amazing! Houston is notorious for flooding, thanks to a less than ideal drainage system, so we had to change locations from my usual go to spot to this empty golf-course unless we wanted to get some underwater shots. I love being pushed out of my comfort zone...that’s when the magic happens! I might actually try and use this spot more often since these pictures came out so well.  I have a newborn photography studio in Pearland, but often I get to be one (of many) Outdoor Houston Tx Maternity Photographer.  For this session, that's exactly what we did!This session was full of happy little bits of serendipity. Because we had to wait a bit to start the session, it ended slightly later than initially anticipated. What a wonderful thing to have happened! Just look at that sunset we were able to capture! How perfect is that soft golden light kissing her darling baby bump?!As a photographer, one of the best tools I can have in my arsenal is flexibility. Without it, I would missed out on the opportunity to get what I think are some truly stunning shots of this breathtaking mama-to-be and her sweet husband. Yay for silver linings!

I remember bringing home my first little one from the hospital. I would sit, and stare at him quietly sleeping, wishing I could crawl into whatever dreamland he was in, just to steal more time with him. I remember being so aware of the magnitude of responsibility I felt when staring in lost wonder, at this incredibly delicate tiny human; but also what intense, overwhelming love I immediately felt for every precious ounce of his darling little body.  Having a Houston Newborn Baby Photography Studio helps me to freeze moments in time like these.  It's seriously one of the best jobs in the whole world.What an exciting time in this new family’s life!  Little Claire here is the first baby for her darling family. They signed up for my baby plan package, which means I have the honor of getting to see her again in a few short months! This is definitely one of my favorite packages we offer because it gives me the opportunity to see and document one of the most exciting times in a family’s life! So much changes that happens in that first year and I love being a part of the beautiful process.I love playing with varying textures, especially with newborn sessions. The stark contrast of their fresh, delicate skin against the multiple accessories and outfits create such a dreamy depth to these images. Mom loves all things floral and vintage so we made sure incorporate both into this newborn in-studio session. Pearland Senior Photographer | Savannah

Savannah here was a senior at Pearland Highschool last year. This session was particularly memorable because of the way her and her mom worked together to style this session perfectly. She had her hair and makeup expertly styled at Sunkissed and Made-up. We did three full outfit changes altogether, not including her cap and gown. The various colors and textures really did add such a depth to Savannah's senior portraits. With a model this beautiful, what fun it was to be her Pearland Senior Photographer!When it comes to senior portraits, I like to have variety in the backgrounds we work with. Savannah looked stunning in front of what ever setting I placed her in, so we tried them all! What troopers her and her mom were! I particularly love the distressed brick wall we found. The stark contrast between the weathered surroundings and Savannah's bright beauty worked so well together. When we got to the flower-filled field, Savannah looked absolutely stunning amidst the bouncing natural light. We both knew we wanted to get a super adorable glitter shot, and this was the perfect place to capture it!I love getting to be a part of a time that is so incredibly important to not only these seniors, but to their parents. Not only are the kids about to embark on what is going to be one of the most fun and exciting periods of their lives, but their parents are about to start a new chapter as well. While this is a bound to be time of excited celebration for everyone involved, it is undoubtedly an emotional time as well, especially for two this close as Savannah and her mom. Just look at those big baby blue eyes! How could you not fall instantly in love with such a cute little guy?! I know I sure did when I saw first saw him for his newborn session! Gus is on our baby planner package which means I'l be lucky enough to steal a few more shots of that gorgeous smile in just a few short months for his first birthday session!  Clients like this make Houston Fine Art Baby Photography so much fun!I love the way we styled this session and were able to incorporate big brother. You can already tell these two are going to have a great lifelong friendship just by watching them interact. The way Gus' tongue flopped out when he giggled, or how he would grab his toes when he laughs just made my heart melt! I'm so glad we were able to steal some shots of these sweet little quirks! I cant wait to see what changes I see in him when I see him for his next session. It blows my mind how much these little ones learn at this age! Like adorable little sponges, soaking up every new experience. They really do grow up so fast. I think that' s why I treasure my job. Photography is one way to freeze time, and dwell on what a beautiful age this is.Incorporating different textures and color combinations throughout the entirety of the session really brought about a depth to these images that I truly love. Houston Natural Light First Year Photographer - Sweet Little Daisy

 Oh my gracious guys…. This girl. How in the world could I possibly begin to express how incredibly adorable this little princess is?! As a Houston Natural Light First Year Photographer this session made me absolutely swoon! I love when sessions turn out as truly stunning as this one did. We were able to get so many adorable candid shots of Daisy at such a fun age. So many fun moments from the session, and such cooperative lighting that day! Between the ruffled tutu, vintage jumper or big-brother cuddles, there’s no way I could possibly pick my favorite! We approached this session as more of a lifestyle session and just let her do her sweet little thing. I wanted to start the session with her big brother so that she could get acclimated to her new environment and have the confidence to strut her sassy little stuff. Let me tell you, Miss Daisy did not disappoint! When it comes to this age, as a Houston Natural Light First Year Photographer, I have found that I really like to try and let them run the show. If she wanted to jump up and down, we jumped! When she wanted to cuddle, by George we cuddled! Houston Fine Art Maternity Photographer - Edna

Have you ever gone through images from your past?  When you do, do memories come rushing to you?  The smell of the house that the picture was taken in, the way it was decorated (beautiful to you despite how dated that image looks these days to others), the sounds that were going on around you.  It's incredible what one image that you hold in our hands can create.  In your heart, in your mind, and the tangible memory that just a single portrait can do for you.  I met Edna and her sweet family back in May.  Being a Houston Fine Art Maternity Photographer, my goal is to create these tangible memories for each one of my clients. 

What do these documented memories look like?

Perhaps these memories will be for big sister.  The way her mom looked that evening when we did this session.  Having two kids of my own, I can completely relate to the feeling of extra weight, love wrinkles, some on my hips, some on my thighs and on some days... just not feeling beautiful-especially because of how quickly our bodies change during pregnancy.  But good heavens, the way that her oldest looked at her that night.  I think in that moment, big sister thought her mama was the most beautiful woman to walk the face of the earth.  And I agreed that night.  But those looks.  They demand to be documented.That happiness, the smell of the new summer blooms, the sound of the crickets, those annoying mosquitoes that aggravate nearly everyone, but the laughs we all got from it, and the pats coming from mama's tummy of a new life that soon will be earth side.Let me not forget the daddy!  They seem, sometimes, to get lost in the hustle and bustle of this new baby and new everything.  I will never forget the way that my husband looked the day he met my kids for the first time.  He explained to me that the tears that rolled down his face each time, were not only pure and perfect love for my children.  But that they were overwhelming sense of relief, happiness, and of course love.  Love.  Dad's provide safety and a love that is immeasurable and like no other.  Very unique to a man, but very needed.I am so grateful I played this part in this documentation of this part of their lives.  I hope sweet Edna and her beautiful and perfect family cherish these memories for many years to come. <3

Oh man, have I expressed my joy for sitter sessions?  If not, I want to go ahead and take the time to express it now: I LOVE SITTER SESSIONS! :)  Having this little one's parents hire me to be their Baby Boy Houston Photographer, I was just so thrilled to be a part of their story.  I also loved how baby sister hung out behind the camera to get those genuine smiles that I just love.  I love when siblings come to help because it gives them a chance to feel like they are a part of this big picture while being the "grown up one."We stuck to Cora & Violet's adorable hoodie rompers, warm wood tones, and my white wood backdrop.  I loved this session because since Maddox is a baby planner client, I had the pleasure of photographing his mom’s maternity session, and his newborn session.  So watching him grow is a true joy for this year.  They came back to visit me at the studio for his sitting milestone session and we had so much fun dressing him in my studio wardrobe clothing and getting him to smile!  I also incorporated one of the props from his newborn session to show how much he had grown.  We also used a wood bowl, my log bed that I adore, a favorite blue bear stuffed animal from his very own nursery, and of course, one of Luneberry's sky blue flokatis.Here are the highlights from this adorable session!
