Happy Tuesday friends! Is it just me, or is this Houston weather crazy?! As I was playing catch up on my blog, I remembered this particular session being so warm and cozy...I nice change from our crazy weather! When I was asked to be this sweet family's Houston baby and Maternity Photographer, I was thrilled.  This session had all the feels and I just HAD to share it.This session took place in this gorgeous family’s Houston Heights stunning home. With neutral décor and colors, this just really made my job as a bump-to-baby photographer so much easier. Think… greys, tans, whites…. a Houston baby and Maternity Photographer ’s dream come true and neutrals just really make for classic and timeless portraits. Being that this was their first pregnancy the only sibling that we had to include was their sweet and rather large fur-baby. We wanted to keep everything super simple and preserve the emotions that go along with being new parents. We included the book (pictured below) and stayed in the rooms that had that dreamy and ethereal natural light, while focusing on mom and dad. As we all know, pregnancy can be stressful and they may not always go as planned; each and every pregnancy is unique! This session was originally going to take place outdoors but things didn't go as planned with Ashley’s pregnancy and she ended up on bed-rest. When unforeseen circumstances come up, I work to serve each of my clients with the best customer care so that we can still document this special time in their lives. So I packed up my camera gear and took to their beautiful home and did a lifestyle Houston baby and Maternity Photographer session, which has ended up being one of my favorites to date!I was even more excited that they booked my bump-to-baby plan so I also shot their sweet and precious newborn just a few short months later in my Houston studio.I hope all of my fans, fellow photographers, friends, and visitors love this session as much as I do. Houston baby and Maternity Photographer

Something you may have not known about me-- I used to be a junior high algebra teacher!! One of my favorite parts about having a Houston Baby Boy Photography Studio is when my former co-workers and even students choose me to capture their fine art portraits. I love catching up with them and photographing their beautiful memories! My good friend Jen and I used to teach together so I was so honored when she came to visit me in my Houston Baby Boy Photography Studio last year. I also shot her daughter, Callan’s, newborn session several years ago in my early years as a photographer. I absolutely adore watching my clients add to their families and to watch their babies grow. Its one of the main reasons my job as a Houston newborn photographer is such a blessing to me!This newborn session was taken at my Houston Baby Boy Photography Studio located just South of downtown Houston. We used various tones of gray, blue, tan and a little bit of Texas Tech and Notre Dame gear too (mom is a TTU grad, Dad loves ND). Sweet Callan was also included in some of the shots. She was just the sweetest thing and loved on her brother so much. It’s not always EASY to get sibling shots, but we got several from this one. Houston Baby Boy Photography Studio

Happy Friday friends! I hope everyone had a wonderful week and is ready for a lovely Valentine's weekend. I have been going through a bunch of my past Baby Photographer in Houston Tx sessions, trying to organize them, and trying to figure out what to blog next and remembered this sweet session…. Baby Addison’s one year old DONUT smash session!!! Yep, you read that right… she smashed donuts instead of a cake… and I L-O-V-E-D it!!We headed to my favorite field here in the Houston area to do this session. We focused mainly on sweet Addison but also got some family shots in there, too. Mom and Dad loved my ruffle teepee (a client fave), and we also used my mint green children’s chair and just a few vintage styled props. Have I mentioned yet how much I loved this unique baby photography session? I love all the props that we used, including the themed carrier from here, the soft colors of clothing that they chose… the creams… the pinks… the DONUTS, oh my! I just loved every inch of it. Mom wanted to do a cake smash, but without the mess…so she brought a variety of donuts for Addison to “smash”. I loved how different it was but still so incredibly adorable! And much easier to clean too! Win for all! <3  I think being a fine art Baby Photographer in Houston Tx is so much fun, especially for sessions like this!When I reflect on this session, it really makes me feel so grateful. Grateful for these wonderful clients of mine who are just so sweet, and who value documenting these beautiful photography sessions as their babies turn one year old.  I am so grateful that they choose me to be their Baby Photographer in Houston Tx.  And even though some babies are just a little unsure about the crazy/awesome lady with the camera (me), I still manage to get those beautiful smiles, their sweet spirit and capture who they are at such a young age.  And that's what this job is all about folks! ;-)Here are the highlights from this sweet session!

Baby Photographer in Houston Tx

I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend and I do have to admit, I am happy that we are already almost to the middle of the this week because I love spending time with my two munchkins over the weekend! Just to keep the variety coming what better way to do that then to one of my Houston Family Photography sessions!Meet the Moss family. I first met them during Cannon’s newborn almost two years ago.   It was such a pleasure reconnecting and catching up with them again. Having a gorgeous family to take pictures of tends to make my job a lot easier, because I find that my camera just loves this family why wouldn’t it?  They’re such beautiful people!! ;)  I do love switching it up from time to time from the usual newborn photography and love doing my occasional Houston Family Photography session every now and again!A little about the session: we chose to keep it simple to get the essence and spirit of their family, documenting them just the way they are. The session was primarily focused on the little boys, and it was so much fun because they shared such an adorable bond.  Because of that, it really made this family session an enjoyable experience. Little boys are so much fun to photograph because they tend to find their own knick knacks to find and play with during the session (leaves, sticks, rocks... just little boy things). This family always nails their wardrobe and this time it surely did not disappoint. Houston Family Photography

I feel so blessed to be a Houston Tx Baby Photographer. I especially love doing this job when I have clients who book me for milestone baby sessions during that first year.  I just love watching these sweet babies grow!Ava was turning one when these images were taken, so mom requested that I get some focusing on just her, a few with her big sister Maddie, and also a few family portraits.  Sometimes, being a natural-light family Houston Tx Baby Photographer, can be challenging with our frequent rainy conditions. While it did rain a ton during the days leading up to this session, we were able to work around the puddles and capture this special time for this amazing family.This session was taken at a favorite location of this Houston Tx Baby Photographer.  This session included some of my client’s most requested props. Houston Tx Baby Photographer

I love being a Houston Photographer and since specialize in newborn and maternity pictures, I always find that switching it up for the occasional engagement photo shoot is a great change of pace and really helps my creativity flow in a little bit of a different way. So for this blog post, meet Landry and Gio!!Landry and Gio booked me as their Houston Photographer before they flew off to their destination wedding (jealous!!!). I was so happy to do this for them and loved to listen to their story of being high school sweethearts. They were just such an adorable and sweet couple, and I sincerely hope that they are enjoying their first year of being married.I also loved that they brought sweet Chico (their fur baby) to their session.  We incorporated him into documenting this perfect time for this couple. He was such a loving guy and listened so well. I love to include these personal touches to each of my portrait sessions, as it really helps to show each person/couple just exactly as they are. I also find that when such special things are brought into sessions, it just really helps to loosen everyone up, and also to “break the ice,” so to speak.I really loved the way that Landry and Gio dressed with their vibrant jewel tones for their engagement session. I also was extremely pleased that there was an additional outfit change. This just really helps to give the gallery a more formal, yet casual touch. I found that my navy blue settee went so well with the colors and really made for a unique setting in the forest and with that dreamy sunset that every photographer loves.

Houston Photographer

See, I am off to a fabulous start with my blogging catch up!!! Next up for some blogging goodness is sweet little Maci and her big brother (how lucky… these parents got their boy and their girl!).  This sweet family came to my Baby Photographer Houston studio for this sweet session.Big brother was so well behaved and did so amazing for his sibling shots and sweet Maci was such a sleeper which made those posing transitions flow and helped to make the session a relaxed and enjoyable experience for this darling family.  This was just such an enjoyable session in my Baby Photographer Houston studio.I love all girlie things and so did Maci’s mom, so this session was styled with that in mind. From pinks, touches of blue, and some beautiful neutrals to keep those images classic and timeless. And of course I incorporated a little of my style into it too! I even got to include the bunny lovie for a few shots… and omg… I.LOVE. me some lovies. They are just so cute and really let the age of these sweet newborns shine. Being a Houston newborn photographer, I find that I love to use the small knitted stuffed animals because it really shows just how tiny each baby is when they come see me. I love to document how little they are in these first few days since I know how rapidly each baby changes!I cannot begin to express my gratitude to these families for letting me love on their most precious treasures. Baby Photographer Houston

Guys, I know it has been a while and I am working on changing that. So first, Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays, and Happy New Year! I am hoping I will stay consistent with blogging to just keep my content relevant and up to date, while showing all of my previous and potential clients what me and my Newborn Photographer Houston business is all about!SO… first things first… Daphne, (pictured) was four months in this picture… and now she is over a year old! I had to start somewhere, so here is where I decided to start.If you are a new follower of mine, or if you are like me and have that super awesome mom brain, you may not remember this session! So here’s some details to help jog that memory!This precious family decided to book me for their Newborn Photographer Houston choice!  My studio is here in South Houston / Pearland. Unfortunately, it did not go as planned, and I was put on bed rest when their newborn session was scheduled but I was so thrilled that they came in for her 4 month baby portrait session! **As a side note, me and my sweet sweet daughter are also doing very well! **I love to style my baby planner sessions to keep it organic to my personal style, relevant so it’s timeless and classic for years to come and simple. I have found that this just helps to maintain those art pieces in your home, so the style and look will be timeless and something that your family will treasure for many many years to come.So for this milestone baby session, we chose to go with soft pinks and creams. Newborn Photographer Houston

I have known this little lady since she was born and every year she gets more beautiful! This was her 5 year Child Photography Houston session...way back from the spring 2015! Her mom is incredibly creative and brings the best ideas to Miss C's yearly portrait session; I always get excited to see her new ideas each time.These sessions always turn out to be some of my favorites! We incorporated fresh flowers, a princess crown, a tree swing, Trend Suspenders....and of course glitter! These are the things that little girl's dreams are made of! The days leading up to this Child Photography Houston session were full of torrential rain in the Houston area, but we were blessed with gorgeous sunlight on this particular evening. We had to work around the puddles, as we often do in the spring time but Miss C took it in stride and was as sweet as sugar. I got to work with this gorgeous mama in mid-September and I just adore her family and this Maternity Photography Houston session! Maternity Photography Houston

Goodness. I loved everything about this Outdoor Maternity Photos Houston session from earlier this year. We had several reschedules due to the crazy amount of rain the Houston area got in the spring.   The evening we finally made it happen was so gorgeous! We had tons of beautiful sunlight, which gave this session a magical feeling.We used the blush and cream tones for their Outdoor Maternity Photos Houston session since they were expecting a baby girl.   I love how soft and sweet it made the session feel. The ground was still super soggy during this session so I had to get a little creative with posing and moving around the field (imagine swampy standing water all over)...but it all came out perfect.These clients booked my bump-to-baby plan so I also had the pleasure of photographing their baby girl’s newborn session and I can’t wait to share that with you soon! Outdoor Maternity Photos Houston

Sometimes, I have clients who request a location completely different than my usual outdoor field setting. When this family contacted me, mom knew she wanted something in the city, so I chose this location in downtown Houston to create more of New Orleans urban vibe. It made for such a fun houston baby boy photography session and I love how it turned out!I had the pleasure of photographing this family for little man's newborn portraits a year ago and then again for his one year houston baby boy photography session this past spring. He was such a smiley boy which made for the best images! Those blue eyes are definitely going to be lady killers in a few years. houston baby boy photography

It's hard to believe our baby girl just celebrated her first birthday last week! She has changed so much from her NICU days as a preemie baby, its almost unbelievable. I never have sat down and blogged her birth story from start to finish and I still intend to do that before my mommy brain forgets everything. Let's just say that God was definitely watching over her little life. If things had not gone the way they did that evening on September 2, 2014, we very likely would not be celebrating her first birthday or any birthday for that matter. The first 48 hours after her birth, the doctor's were saying horrible awful things like "we are walking a fine line at this point" and "there is nothing more we can do but wait". Those first few days were truly some of the worst and most stressful days of our lives. But now we rejoice! Our miracle baby is perfectly healthy, happy, on track and we are so THANKFUL and BLESSED to be her parents. She's a ball of spunk, fun, and a seriously determined individual...but wouldn't expect anything less from her given she’s been a feisty-fighter from day one!  I also am extremely lucky to be a miracle Houston baby photographer because this whole year I documented her growth and these pictures are true treasures to me and my family!I did this blog post for myself, mainly so I could compile her first year photos in one place. But I also wanted to share with other preemie moms that there is so much HOPE for these sweet babies (and that you should also try and hire or be a miracle Houston baby photographer- if just for this one event).  Some of these photos were taken with a cell phone so excuse the low quality.  I was actually without my camera the first two weeks while she was in the NICU because I had my hubby send it to Canon to be cleaned while I was on bed rest...and the very day he mailed it off, she was born.  Go figure!Happy birthday to our dear Penelope!!

miracle Houston baby photographer

The loveliest baby girl came to my studio for her newborn photos earlier this year. She was just about two weeks new and such a little doll. It was a true pleasure being her baby girl houston photographer!  She even flashed a few smiles during our time together and those are always some of my favorites images!This is the first baby for mom and dad and they were experiencing all the new feelings that come along with a newborn: excitement, exhaustion, and crazy love! They were such sweet parents and also happened to be fellow Aggies so we had so much in common! This sweet family was a joy to get to know and photograph. I hope they will always cherish these images of their baby girl and remember me to be their baby girl houston photographer if there is a new baby!  This time just goes by so fast. Congrats M Family! I have had the pleasure of working with this gorgeous couple 3 times over the past few years: first for their engagement photos, then their intimate wedding with close family and friends, and now I got to shoot their Houston Tx Maternity Photography session for their first baby!They are an extremely photogenic couple so it's impossible for them to take a bad photo! We had some pretty evening light to work with which made for some dreamy baby bump images. They booked their Houston Tx Maternity Photography bump-to-baby plan so I also got to photograph their little man's newborn photos when he arrived early this summer! What a handsome boy he is! Houston Tx Maternity Photography

This little man was one of my baby planners this past year and he sure was a cutie! Those big blue eyes just melted me! We did his nine month milestone session on a weekday evening, so we really had to work to get some smiles since he was pretty worn out from a fun day at school…but we managed to get some! Mom brought along the cutest "little man" outfits with the fedora, tie, and classic jeans and white shirt and they look adorable on him! We also got a few with big sister who happens to be one of the sweetest gals I know! This little guy turned one in May, so I am a little behind in blogging his sessions, but it's always better late than never. I sure am going to miss seeing this family every few months for their baby milestone sessions! I got to know them so well during little man’s first year that they started to feel like family to me...”K” family, you will be missed but I hope to see y’all soon!!

I was so honored when I was contacted about photographing this sweet baby boy's newborn session. He happens to be boy #3 for this new family and they could not be more excited to welcome him into all the FUN! I had the pleasure of meeting both big brothers at the session and they are just the sweetest little guys ever! It was important to capture a nice sibling shot for their gorgeous mom and I think we definitely succeeded. :-) Dad happens to be an Aggie graduate (whoop!) as well as an avid fisherman, so we incorporated both of these themes into baby boy’s newborn session. Mom brought the fishing props along to get the perfect fishing themed newborn photo! We had a great session with little Jace; he was a great sleeper and such a handsome little guy. Thanks W family for a great session!

I had a blast photographing this First Birthday session! This blog post has been planned for a few months because it was one of my favorite sessions from this past spring, but I am so behind on blogging that it's a few months late...always better late than never! I first got to meet this sweet girl at her newborn session last year. It was such a pleasure to see the beautiful baby girl she has become at her one year milestone session in Houston...she is just as gorgeous and sweet as her mommy!  It's hard to believe she's already celebrating her first birthday when it seems like her newborn session was just last month.  Mom had a hot air balloon theme in mind so we used a large basket, some balloons, a the rag tie banner to finish off the look. Baby girl was as happy as can be in her hot air balloon ride. ☺ I always love to include family photos in my one year sessions as I adore the images of parents interacting and loving on their babies. I know they will cherish these images too! My absolute favorite images are the very last ones giving baby girl a piggyback ride and mommy and daddy kissing...so sweet!!! Enjoy!

This baby girl was one of my very first baby planners. I had the pleasure of photographing Delaney for her newborn session, her 4 month/tummy time session, her six month/sitting session, and finally her one year/cake smash! She was truly one of the happiest and most "smiley" babies I have ever been around and rarely ever cried. Her mom has amazing style so Delaney always had the best outfits and accessories for her photo sessions. What a lucky girl! We went with soft pink and cream tones for her cake smash session and it looked so beautiful with her skin tone and her sweet personality. She had a blast playing with her cake, even though I don't think very much made it into her mouth. :-) I hope you enjoy a little sneak into her fun yet sweet cake smash session! I am so sad I won't be seeing their family every few months for her milestone sessions anymore...why does that first year have to go so fast?!?
