I have known this little lady since she was born and every year she gets more beautiful! This was her 5 year Child Photography Houston session...way back from the spring 2015! Her mom is incredibly creative and brings the best ideas to Miss C's yearly portrait session; I always get excited to see her new ideas each time.These sessions always turn out to be some of my favorites! We incorporated fresh flowers, a princess crown, a tree swing, Trend Suspenders....and of course glitter! These are the things that little girl's dreams are made of! The days leading up to this Child Photography Houston session were full of torrential rain in the Houston area, but we were blessed with gorgeous sunlight on this particular evening. We had to work around the puddles, as we often do in the spring time but Miss C took it in stride and was as sweet as sugar. I got to work with this gorgeous mama in mid-September and I just adore her family and this Maternity Photography Houston session! Maternity Photography Houston

Goodness. I loved everything about this Outdoor Maternity Photos Houston session from earlier this year. We had several reschedules due to the crazy amount of rain the Houston area got in the spring.   The evening we finally made it happen was so gorgeous! We had tons of beautiful sunlight, which gave this session a magical feeling.We used the blush and cream tones for their Outdoor Maternity Photos Houston session since they were expecting a baby girl.   I love how soft and sweet it made the session feel. The ground was still super soggy during this session so I had to get a little creative with posing and moving around the field (imagine swampy standing water all over)...but it all came out perfect.These clients booked my bump-to-baby plan so I also had the pleasure of photographing their baby girl’s newborn session and I can’t wait to share that with you soon! Outdoor Maternity Photos Houston

Sometimes, I have clients who request a location completely different than my usual outdoor field setting. When this family contacted me, mom knew she wanted something in the city, so I chose this location in downtown Houston to create more of New Orleans urban vibe. It made for such a fun houston baby boy photography session and I love how it turned out!I had the pleasure of photographing this family for little man's newborn portraits a year ago and then again for his one year houston baby boy photography session this past spring. He was such a smiley boy which made for the best images! Those blue eyes are definitely going to be lady killers in a few years. houston baby boy photography

It's hard to believe our baby girl just celebrated her first birthday last week! She has changed so much from her NICU days as a preemie baby, its almost unbelievable. I never have sat down and blogged her birth story from start to finish and I still intend to do that before my mommy brain forgets everything. Let's just say that God was definitely watching over her little life. If things had not gone the way they did that evening on September 2, 2014, we very likely would not be celebrating her first birthday or any birthday for that matter. The first 48 hours after her birth, the doctor's were saying horrible awful things like "we are walking a fine line at this point" and "there is nothing more we can do but wait". Those first few days were truly some of the worst and most stressful days of our lives. But now we rejoice! Our miracle baby is perfectly healthy, happy, on track and we are so THANKFUL and BLESSED to be her parents. She's a ball of spunk, fun, and a seriously determined individual...but wouldn't expect anything less from her given she’s been a feisty-fighter from day one!  I also am extremely lucky to be a miracle Houston baby photographer because this whole year I documented her growth and these pictures are true treasures to me and my family!I did this blog post for myself, mainly so I could compile her first year photos in one place. But I also wanted to share with other preemie moms that there is so much HOPE for these sweet babies (and that you should also try and hire or be a miracle Houston baby photographer- if just for this one event).  Some of these photos were taken with a cell phone so excuse the low quality.  I was actually without my camera the first two weeks while she was in the NICU because I had my hubby send it to Canon to be cleaned while I was on bed rest...and the very day he mailed it off, she was born.  Go figure!Happy birthday to our dear Penelope!!

miracle Houston baby photographer

I have had the pleasure of working with this gorgeous couple 3 times over the past few years: first for their engagement photos, then their intimate wedding with close family and friends, and now I got to shoot their Houston Tx Maternity Photography session for their first baby!They are an extremely photogenic couple so it's impossible for them to take a bad photo! Houston Tx Maternity Photography

I had a blast photographing this First Birthday session! This blog post has been planned for a few months because it was one of my favorite sessions from this past spring, but I am so behind on blogging that it's a few months late...always better late than never! I first got to meet this sweet girl at her newborn session last year. It was such a pleasure to see the beautiful baby girl she has become at her one year milestone session in Houston...she is just as gorgeous and sweet as her mommy!  It's hard to believe she's already celebrating her first birthday when it seems like her newborn session was just last month.  Mom had a hot air balloon theme in mind so we used a large basket, some balloons, a the rag tie banner to finish off the look. Baby girl was as happy as can be in her hot air balloon ride. ☺ I always love to include family photos in my one year sessions as I adore the images of parents interacting and loving on their babies. I know they will cherish these images too! My absolute favorite images are the very last ones giving baby girl a piggyback ride and mommy and daddy kissing...so sweet!!! Enjoy!

I truly loved working with this baby girl this past year. I had the pleasure of photographing her newborn session and then again for her one year session. She's a special girl with lots of smiles and personality so she is a joy to photograph! Her mom planned so many fun details for her one year session all with a girly, vintage, and sweet appeal. We went to my favorite field and just had FUN! Enjoy a peak into her session...I'm sure it will leave you with a smile!

This session was something I had in my mind for several months before I actually made it happen last year. I was needing to photograph something that was creative, different than my usual sessions, and just for me. When I started planning, I knew I wanted it to be fun, girly, and with a touch of vintage (anything vintage is an obsession of mine right now!). These two little ladies were the perfect models and a delight to work with! They let me do some "posed" shots, but they also got to play and be themselves as carefree children should. Plus, they had fun getting to dress up and play "princess". :) My awesome hubby made the rope swing for me (thanks honey!), and everything else you see in these images belongs to my ever-growing prop collection...which means all of these props are available to my clients for their sessions, woo hoo! I hope you enjoy a little glimpse into one of my favorite children's sessions.

This Houston maternity session was one of those sessions where you just KNOW you are going to love every.single.image. We had the most perfect sun-drenched evening, a simply stunning mommy & daddy (to-be), a leaf blower to achieve that perfect wind-blown look, and lots and lots of LOVE. I had so much fun getting to know this sweet couple and I know their baby boy is already the center of their worlds. They booked my Baby Milestone Plan but unfortunately I had to miss their newborn session because I was on hospital bed-rest with my sweet Penelope when their baby boy arrived. But, I am super excited to get to meet baby boy this coming weekend when I photograph his "tummy-time" session in the studio! Stay tuned for sneaks of thier adorable little man!!

I had the pleasure of working with Charlotte and her sweet family during her first year of life, and what fun we had! I have been friends with Charlotte's mommy since our days working together in oil & gas at BP. When I heard the news that she was expecting, I was so thrilled and excited for her! I was even more pumped to get the opportunity to photograph their family for all of their baby girl's first year milestones. This session was done right around her four month birthday in Houston and she was full of smiles and personality...and completely adorable I might add! Mom and dad even got in a few photos with her. Many times, the mommy+daddy+baby interacting with baby photos are my absolute favorite! You can totally just FEEL the love! This post is long overdue, but it was one of my favorite sessions from 2014 so it deserved its own blog post. I had the pleasure of photographing this family in their home last year to document their sweet Georgia's 6 month birthday. Mom set up a beautiful nursery perfect for their sweet girl and I had so much fun photographing their family in this lifestyle baby milestone session. I love it when parents have their own visions for a session because it gets my creative juices working and forces me to think outside the proverbial "box". And when you get to photograph gorgeous people, it makes for some gorgeous photos. I hope you enjoy this little sneak peek into this sweet family's life and their pure love for their baby girl. I sure did love working with them!

I honestly never thought I would have a daughter of my own. All of my life, those silly old wives tale tricks (the necklace test anyone?) said I would be a mom to 3 boys, so I pretty much accepted it and knew I would love every minute of being a boy mom! Imagine my surprise when we found out baby #2 was a girl!! It took me a few days to believe it and really wrap my head around the fact that I would get to enjoy all the fun girlie things like dresses, headbands, princesses, and decorating a sweet & soft nursery. Even while I spent 5 weeks on bedrest in the hospital, I continued to plan all the little details of her room and made it my "job" while stuck in bed. I truly enjoyed every minute! I've never been a huge fan of pink, so I stuck with neutral gray tones and hints of light peach and aqua. I look forward to spending lots of hours snuggling and caring for my sweet girl in this soothing space.By the way, Penelope has now spent 6 weeks in the NICU....but is scheduled to be discharged tomorrow to finally join our family at home! Her original due date was November 6th, so her coming home early was a big pleasant surprise. Being a Houston Newborn Photographer, I am sure you can imagine that I can't wait to get going on her newborn photos!

This gorgeous Houston maternity portraits session is definitely one of my favorites to date. Beautiful lighting, my favorite field location in the Houston area, stunning couple, and the perfect baby bump...I just loved everything about it!  Make-up was done by Alaina Saulsberry at Colour du Jour before our evening sunset session and she really did an amazing job.  I know this gorgeous momma from my days teaching Junior High when we had classrooms across the hall from each other.  We definitely had some fun that year being hall neighbors!This awesome couple booked me for the Bump-to-baby plan so I also had the pleasure of taking their little man's newborn photos. The Bump-to-baby is such a great way to document two important milestones in a family's life.  Maternity photos are best scheduled between 30-35 weeks when a baby bump is nice and established but before the uncomfortable stage of pregnancy begins those last few weeks.  I always recommend my mom's have their hair and make-up done for their maternity sessions because you deserve to be pampered!  Plus, professional hair and make-up photographs amazing and produces the best images.  They recently welcomed their baby boy and his newborn session was equally as perfect...but that will be posted in another blog post, so stay tuned! Meet three cute brothers and their awesome family of 5 that I recently got to photograph this summer!  This mommy happens to be a good friend so I was thrilled when she asked me to photograph her family and kiddos for their annual photo session. Mom wanted a fun summertime session in her very own backyard in South Houston with a focus on letting her children be, well...BOYS. These kiddos showed me all kinds of tricks on their playground, played hard, and had a blast...and there's no better way to wrap-up an outdoor photo/play session than with cold popsicles!  Their family photos are some of my favorites as of lately because they were just so loving and natural together.  These boys were full of energy, laughter, and ALL boy and made my job as a Houston family photographer super easy!  I had so much fun spending a summer afternoon with their family of 5 and I hope you enjoy and sneak into a few of my favorites from their session.

I just love and adore photographing Senior sessions. I think you will see why when you read this blog post. I loved every single photo from Morgan's senior session this past spring in League City. Her outfits were perfect, hair and make-up were stunning, and she happens to be going to my favorite college in the fall, Texas A&M University! Whoop!! One of the best things about being a Houston senior photographer is getting to meet these beautiful people are are on the cusp of starting a new journey in life!  She will soon be joining the Aggie family and I could not be more excited for her.  I had so much working with her for her Senior portrait session. We even threw in a few photos of her and big sister too..who happens to be another Aggie, Gig 'Em! Good luck next year Morgan! I realized I haven't blogged a full Houston maternity photography session in a while (or ever?!) so it was definitely time to show you some of this gorgeousness. These are some of my favorite sessions to photograph. This couple was not only beautiful, but totally and completely in love and it made my job so much fun! I absolutely LOVE working with Seniors for their Senior photo sessions. They are full of life, style, and fun! This gorgeous lady (or should I say young lady?) wasn't too sure about all the attention being on her for this session, but as you can tell she definitely worked it for my camera. We chose a fun and hip location in Houston and the rest is history. And what's even more exciting is that I get to work with her again in the Spring for a more natural/field/earthy look. I can't wait! Meet Allison, class of 2014 and future Aggie...did I mention she is smart too? Gig 'em! :-)
