This little lady is Freya—such a lovely name for a lovely, tiny bundle of a girl. Freya is her parents’ first baby, so I wanted her newborn session to be extra special and memorable for them. We pulled out all of the most feminine, delicate stops for Freya. She’s learning early that a girl can never try on too many headbands. Her own tiny style was all soft, girly, and floral; and we oohed and aahed over her as we swaddled her up and held her close.

About this session

Can you even deal with that little grin as she snuggles up to her momma? And the images of Freya and her daddy are almost too much to handle. They are just in love with her, and rightfully so. The images we captured in this session display the role Freya’s fallen right into in her family—she’s the gorgeous center of their world right now and she’s perfectly content in that place.I’m so looking forward to seeing her grow into her sweet personality and continue to explore her full range of expressions. Houston Fine Art Newborn Photography | Landon

Hello all! If you know me at all, you would know that I love love love babies! Not only do I adore my own children, but working with other little ones never fails to fill my heart with joy. I have been so excited to share this session with you guys. This little client was the sweetest little New Orleans Saints fan on the planet! Landon was just a few days old at the time of this session. And was as cute as can be in every single image!

The Newest Saint's Fan

Landon's family are all obviously huge Saints fans. So his mama brought some great ideas along to incorporate their favorite team into the photos. She had a New Orleans Saints themed prop photo with an adorable hat to match, and a gold belly cast that Landon snuggled inside so sweetly. I loved being able to help her vision of this session come to life, and document these wonderful moments that will forever be cherished.When it comes to newborn photography, the additional of textural elements truly add a beautiful depth to the collections. My favorite from this session were the images of Landon, curled up in a mustard yellow swaddling blanket, accented with pops of deep teal and natural elements. Swoon! How gorgeous is this little guy?!Landon was so precious, and slept nearly the entire time. From the New Orleans Saints themed photos, to the simple traditional swaddling photos, I am so thrilled with the outcome! Welcome to the world, little Landon, and Go Saints!

The Heights Newborn Fine Art Photographer | Addison

Hi everyone! Hope you are having a fantastic week so far! I am so excited to share this newborn session I had the pleasure of photographing not too long ago. It was right up my alley, and if you are a Star Wars fan, you are going to love it! Addison's mom and I instantly clicked as soon as we started discussing what kind of vibe she wanted for this session. About this Newborn Session

So these super cool parents love Star Wars, and definitely wanted some adorable plush toys to be incorporated in a few of the photos. I'm always excited to incorporate sweet props like these into sessions, especially newborns. It personalizes the collection and always brings the parents such happiness. We decided to dress Addison as Leia, and surround her with some friends to keep her company. This little one was so sweet, and slept nearly the entire time. Mom and dad were so helpful and amazing throughout the session as well. It was obvious that their little girl is the R2-D2 to their C3PO.Everything about this session was so much fun, and I love love love how it turned out. Nothing makes me happier than being able to be creative in so many different ways. This family was so amazing and I am so glad I was able to make their vision of Addison's newborn session come to life.

Houston Newborn Studio Photographer | Forrest

Be still my heart! This sweet boy was so alert throughout his whole session. With most little ones of his age, they are super sleepy, but not Forrest! Although he was awake, he was such a little trooper for his newborn session. It truly was such a treat to be his Houston Newborn Studio Photographer!Just take a peek at those eyes and that hair line! Oh my word have you ever seen a more adorable widow's peek?! When talking to his mama while planning this session, we knew we wanted to utilize plenty of masculine neutrals and she mentioned adding in some various textural pieces! Mama's really do know best, because this session was a delicious slice of textural heaven! I LOVE the way the roughness of the burlap and the chunky knit cable blankets contrasted so well with Forrest's delicate features. Swoon!!All in all...Take one part sweet baby boy, add in two loving doses of adoring parents and sprinkle in a tiny Teddy. You have all the makings for a perfect newborn session! Houston Fine Art Studio Newborn Portrait Photographer | Baby S

This little girls is such an absolute bundle of joy! We loosely snuggled her up in various swaddling blankets, and let her do her thing! Baby S slept so peacefully for the majority of the shoot. But we were lucky enough to catch her giggling for some extra special images. The floral headband complimented her delicate body perfectly. It was just enough without distracting from her precious smile. Time can get away from us so quickly, so I am so happy that I was able to capture this moment forever while she is still so little bitty, as her Houston Fine Art Studio Newborn Portrait Photographer. !It was amazing to watch this family interact with one another, and see the love that overfilled that room created pure magic. You could tell that their world was finally complete when they held her in their arms. It’s so funny how such a little person can completely flip your world upside down. It was obvious how much joy she has brought them already! I hope to get to follow up with this family in the future, and maybe even see little Miss S for her one-year birthday shoot! Houston Natural Light Newborn Studio Photographer | Bradley

Oh wow! How adorable is this little guy?! I am so incredibly blessed as a Houston Natural Light Newborn Studio Photographer to be able to do what I do and get to document such a special time in families’ lives. To be able to capture the beginning of one’s life is truly a joy, and Bradley’s session was nothing short of amazing. I enjoyed my session with him so much; he was such a great little sleeper and so easy to pose! Oh! And those adorable little pajamas! He had to be one of the most cuddly, calm newborns that I’ve had the pleasure of capturing. Just look at that sweet, little face and dark brown hair. With Bradley being the youngest of three boys, I’m sure his brothers are so ecstatic to have another brother to play with! Once they’re teenagers, this is going to be a family of little heartbreakers.

 These five photos are Bradley’s parents’ favorites from his custom newborn portrait session I did for them last year, and I can definitely see why! With the soothing blues and soft textures of these photos, they capture the calmness, beauty, and the miracle of Bradley’s first days on Earth. I hope they will be photos that the family can look back on and cherish forever. It was such a pleasure to work with Bradley and his parents, and I can’t wait for their next session!

Pearland Newborn Natural Light Studio Photographer | Eli Green

Be still my heart! This sweet boy is the second welcomed addition to his gorgeous family. With little ones of this age, it's rare to see the definite color of their eyes right away. But I think this little guy is going to be a blue-eyed boy for sure! It might have been the various tones and shades of deep teal we used throughout the session that brought out the color so vividly. We stuck with varied neutrals while adding in pops of color here and there create an eclectic feel of the session. As a Pearland Newborn Natural Light Studio Photographer  it makes my heart so happy to see these images look so stunning side-by-side in their handcrafted heirloom album.Big brother was an absolute ham throughout this entire session. Which I LOVED! He kept me laughing from the first hesitantly shy hello, to the last high-five goodbye. My abs haven't hurt so bad in a long time! As with a lot of kiddos his age, he was a little unsure at first of being photographed. But as little ones typically do, he warmed up after a while. We were able to capture a super cute moment between the two of them, which made both me and his parents super happy.I loved capturing these first sweet images of little Eli for his adorable family. Being their Pearland Newborn Natural Light Studio Photographer was such a treat!

Houston Newborn Baby Photography Studio - Claire

I remember bringing home my first little one from the hospital. I would sit, and stare at him quietly sleeping, wishing I could crawl into whatever dreamland he was in, just to steal more time with him. I remember being so aware of the magnitude of responsibility I felt when staring in lost wonder, at this incredibly delicate tiny human; but also what intense, overwhelming love I immediately felt for every precious ounce of his darling little body.  Having a Houston Newborn Baby Photography Studio helps me to freeze moments in time like these.  It's seriously one of the best jobs in the whole world.What an exciting time in this new family’s life!  Little Claire here is the first baby for her darling family. They signed up for my baby plan package, which means I have the honor of getting to see her again in a few short months! This is definitely one of my favorite packages we offer because it gives me the opportunity to see and document one of the most exciting times in a family’s life! So much changes that happens in that first year and I love being a part of the beautiful process.I love playing with varying textures, especially with newborn sessions. The stark contrast of their fresh, delicate skin against the multiple accessories and outfits create such a dreamy depth to these images. Mom loves all things floral and vintage so we made sure incorporate both into this newborn in-studio session. She brought with her the antique birth scale (love unique props like this one), some absolutely darling floral knit bottoms and an assortment of to-die-for hand-bands. What a fun session! Hey Everyone!  I hope your weekend went well and you had a great July 4th holiday with your family celebrating this amazing country!  Besides the intense heat, summer has always been one of my favorite season.  We have been enjoying tons of water activities outside and I just love seeing my kiddo's smiles are just stretched from ear to ear!  We have all loved the quality time we have been spending together as a family during these warm summer months.  Mush-y feelings today, but I love it.  It's who I am and maybe that's why I love my job and owning my very own Houston Tx Newborn Photography Studio.  Up next on the blog is sweet baby Milo.This precious family was referred to me by an existing client of mine.  It really humbles me when my clients-turned-friends loved their experience with me that they decide to share it with their family and friends.  This is this sweet couple’s first baby.  And boy, is he loved!  This was one of my first sessions to use my new barn wood.  I just love the warmth and feel it gives to the images.  Mom and dad are also so gorgeous and super photogenic, so they really made my job as easy as it can get.We took to neutral colors- grays, warm wood tones, navy blue accents.  Basically- earthy tones that compliment baby boys so incredibly well.  Timeless. Houston Tx Newborn Photography Studio

Summer is upon us, folks! <3  Summertime for me marks so many fun moments and I just love getting to enjoy it with my babies.  Speaking of babies, I decided to share a sweet baby girl Houston Tx Newborn Photography Studio session with you today!We took to my Houston newborn studio to do this session (where I do all of my sessions).  Let me set this up for you- mama and baby arrive, I find out that they follow the newborn prep to a tee, it's warm and cozy in the studio for baby, a little hot for me and mama and dad (haha), and it just all feels right.  This was one of those sessions where everything goes exactly as planned.  A sleepy baby girl, a cooperative big brother, easy posing, and a gorgeous family.  A newborn photographer's dream come true! <3I absolutely loved this entire session and will definitely remember it as one of my favorites from early this year.   This family contacted me as a referral from another photographer friend in the area who happened to be booked.  I love it when the local photography community works together to support each other!   It also works out that this family happens to live just a few minutes away from my former home studio so it was super convenient for them but also nice to make a new mommy friend in my area.  For her session, I made sure to use a variety of colors and props keeping it all girly and sweet.

Houston Pearland Newborn Studio

Happy Tuesday friends!  What better way to start your day than with this Houston Pearland Newborn Studio session?

Meet newborn baby Jackson!  All the heart eyes, guys!  Being that these were first time parents to this newborn baby boy, we decided to stick with neutrals to style his session.  It was a perfect, timeless, and classic touch to this adorable session.  This included many muted grays, blues, and some touches of tan and browns as well.  This was my very first session using my new barn wood flooring and I absolutely love the texture and warmth is adds to my newborn sessions.

This sweet mama is also a huge fan of Harry Potter, so she brought along her Harry Potter wand, a “Muggle Born” hat, and all of the books from the series to incorporate into a Harry Potter themed shot.   I also purchased the little white stuffed owl for the finishing touches on this themed set.  I just love adding these personal touches to a newborn baby session because it really creates an environment where mama and dad.  It just seems so orchestrated to who they are, and I strive to document that in all of my sessions.  We also used my log bed and the brown bear lovie to create a snuggl-y and sweet boy newborn session that these parents will cherish for a lifetime.

As a side note- these client’s purchased an custom accordion mini album from their ordering appointment as a gift to themselves and to each set of grandparents.  These accordion mini albums have quickly become one of my client’s favorite fine art products.  It’s the perfect little brag book to carry around and show off to family and friends!

Happy Friday, everyone!  Here I am, still chugging along with blogs posts from 2015! If you have stayed up to date on my blog, I am grateful and thankful for you!  The next Houston Newborn Studio Session I decided was sweet Elle's.  She had the chubbiest cheeks that ever was and I just loved her so much.  I am so grateful to get to document these new lives.  Who knows- maybe one of them will be the next president, or the next Albert Einstein.  It's just so crazy to think how quickly time goes by and how fast these sweet babies grow.  I just sometimes sit back and think how awesome of a job I have.I first met this family when I had the honor of documenting their maternity session.  You can see that super dreamy and beautiful session here.  Elle's parents are some of the most beautiful and sweet people, so of course their baby girl is just as beautiful!  I wanted her Houston Newborn Studio Session to reflect just how gorgeous she is so I chose to use various girl colors including: mint, purple, rose pink and floral accents. This was one of the first newborn sessions that I ever incorporated flowers into and it quickly turned into an obsession for me!   Baby girls and flowers sure do belong together, in my honest but usually right opinion!  ;)Elle had an amazing full hear of black hair so choosing the perfect headband’s for her hair was so fun.  We finished the session with parents and newborn photos and I am so in love with how they turned out. Their love is just so palpable and it truly shows in their portraits!

Houston Newborn Studio Session

Man, this week has flown by! My baby girl has been recovering from one of those nasty viruses going around this season, so it’s hard to really tell where all my time has really gone this week. I do not mind the extra snuggles, though, so I guess that’s the silver lining when the babes are sick. Any who, work must go on and as such, this blog post is next! I got to meet Ezra and document the beautiful Pang family's Houston Newborn and baby Photography session.This Houston Newborn and baby Photography session was taken here at my newborn studio in Houston / Pearland. This session was styled around my personal favorite tones. baby boy muted tones. I feel that muted tones really just keep that timeless and classic look and that’s what I am all about. If you did not know or have not worked with me yet, I am a fine art photographer that specializes in getting these images on your walls and off your computer. I pride myself in creating works of art that can be hung or displayed in your home for years to come, without looking outdated. I think timeless and classic colors (neutrals) really achieves that which is why I love it so! <3Ezra was baby boy #2 (a dad’s dream, eh?!) and big brother was so so sweet and we were able to get several really amazing sibling shots. We also were able to incorporate family pictures into the mix which is always such a blessing since this time is so fleeting and emotions are still so fresh. Baby boy was awake for some of the time for newborn session, but he had great eye control and was happy so this allowed us to document some wonderful awake photos of him!As you can see in the pictures below we also were able to get some prop shots. Because… I mean… what’s cuter than a baby in a bucket, right?!

Houston Newborn and baby Photography

Something you may have not known about me-- I used to be a junior high algebra teacher!! One of my favorite parts about having a Houston Baby Boy Photography Studio is when my former co-workers and even students choose me to capture their fine art portraits. I love catching up with them and photographing their beautiful memories! My good friend Jen and I used to teach together so I was so honored when she came to visit me in my Houston Baby Boy Photography Studio last year. I also shot her daughter, Callan’s, newborn session several years ago in my early years as a photographer. I absolutely adore watching my clients add to their families and to watch their babies grow. Its one of the main reasons my job as a Houston newborn photographer is such a blessing to me!This newborn session was taken at my Houston Baby Boy Photography Studio located just South of downtown Houston. We used various tones of gray, blue, tan and a little bit of Texas Tech and Notre Dame gear too (mom is a TTU grad, Dad loves ND). Sweet Callan was also included in some of the shots. She was just the sweetest thing and loved on her brother so much. It’s not always EASY to get sibling shots, but we got several from this one. Houston Baby Boy Photography Studio

See, I am off to a fabulous start with my blogging catch up!!! Next up for some blogging goodness is sweet little Maci and her big brother (how lucky… these parents got their boy and their girl!).  This sweet family came to my Baby Photographer Houston studio for this sweet session.Big brother was so well behaved and did so amazing for his sibling shots and sweet Maci was such a sleeper which made those posing transitions flow and helped to make the session a relaxed and enjoyable experience for this darling family.  This was just such an enjoyable session in my Baby Photographer Houston studio.I love all girlie things and so did Maci’s mom, so this session was styled with that in mind. From pinks, touches of blue, and some beautiful neutrals to keep those images classic and timeless. And of course I incorporated a little of my style into it too! I even got to include the bunny lovie for a few shots… and omg… I.LOVE. me some lovies. They are just so cute and really let the age of these sweet newborns shine. Being a Houston newborn photographer, I find that I love to use the small knitted stuffed animals because it really shows just how tiny each baby is when they come see me. I love to document how little they are in these first few days since I know how rapidly each baby changes!I cannot begin to express my gratitude to these families for letting me love on their most precious treasures. newborn photography houston

It's hard to believe our baby girl just celebrated her first birthday last week! She has changed so much from her NICU days as a preemie baby, its almost unbelievable. I never have sat down and blogged her birth story from start to finish and I still intend to do that before my mommy brain forgets everything. Let's just say that God was definitely watching over her little life. If things had not gone the way they did that evening on September 2, 2014, we very likely would not be celebrating her first birthday or any birthday for that matter. The first 48 hours after her birth, the doctor's were saying horrible awful things like "we are walking a fine line at this point" and "there is nothing more we can do but wait". Those first few days were truly some of the worst and most stressful days of our lives. But now we rejoice! Our miracle baby is perfectly healthy, happy, on track and we are so THANKFUL and BLESSED to be her parents. She's a ball of spunk, fun, and a seriously determined individual...but wouldn't expect anything less from her given she’s been a feisty-fighter from day one!  I also am extremely lucky to be a miracle Houston baby photographer because this whole year I documented her growth and these pictures are true treasures to me and my family!I did this blog post for myself, mainly so I could compile her first year photos in one place. But I also wanted to share with other preemie moms that there is so much HOPE for these sweet babies (and that you should also try and hire or be a miracle Houston baby photographer- if just for this one event).  Some of these photos were taken with a cell phone so excuse the low quality.  I was actually without my camera the first two weeks while she was in the NICU because I had my hubby send it to Canon to be cleaned while I was on bed rest...and the very day he mailed it off, she was born.  Go figure!Happy birthday to our dear Penelope!!

miracle Houston baby photographer

The loveliest baby girl came to my studio for her newborn photos earlier this year. She was just about two weeks new and such a little doll. It was a true pleasure being her baby girl houston photographer!  She even flashed a few smiles during our time together and those are always some of my favorites images!This is the first baby for mom and dad and they were experiencing all the new feelings that come along with a newborn: excitement, exhaustion, and crazy love! They were such sweet parents and also happened to be fellow Aggies so we had so much in common! This sweet family was a joy to get to know and photograph. I hope they will always cherish these images of their baby girl and remember me to be their baby girl houston photographer if there is a new baby!  This time just goes by so fast. Congrats M Family! baby girl houston photographer

I was so honored when I was contacted about photographing this sweet baby boy's newborn session. He happens to be boy #3 for this new family and they could not be more excited to welcome him into all the FUN! I had the pleasure of meeting both big brothers at the session and they are just the sweetest little guys ever! It was important to capture a nice sibling shot for their gorgeous mom and I think we definitely succeeded. :-) Dad happens to be an Aggie graduate (whoop!) as well as an avid fisherman, so we incorporated both of these themes into baby boy’s newborn session. Mom brought the fishing props along to get the perfect fishing themed newborn photo! We had a great session with little Jace; he was a great sleeper and such a handsome little guy. Thanks W family for a great session!

I have been waiting to share this session with the world since early this year. Baby C came to visit me at my studio for her newborn session in February and she slept like a dream for me! She is the first baby for this sweet family and I wanted to make her session absolutely perfect for them. Her mom loved the vintage yet organic look, so we incorporated soft tones and fabrics, a little bit of lace, and some muted pinks and purples. Pure perfection for a gorgeous baby girl. I loved how her photos turned out and look forward to working with this family again later this year for her 6 month/sitting session.Clients often ask how far in advance they should book their newborn session...its highly recommended that you book early in your second trimester to ensure availability on my calendar. I am only able to book a certain number of sessions each month, and I hate turning clients away (it really does hurt my heart!) so please make sure you book as early as possible! I LOVE working with families for the newborn sessions and understand how important it is to document this very fleeting stage of your baby's life, so the early you can book the better. I hope I get to meet your sweet new babies soon!And now for a sneak into this lovely newborn session... :-)
